Palakkayam Thattu പാലക്കയം തട്ട്
Palakkayam Thattu is a stunning plateau located in the Kottyoor forest range near Kannur. Sitting at around 750 metres above sea level, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and Western Ghats.
The plateau is covered with grasslands and shola forests, and on clear days you can see all the way to the Arabian Sea. It's one of the most dramatic viewpoints in North Kerala.
Paithalmala പൈതൽമല
Paithalmala is the highest peak in Kannur district, rising to 1,371 metres above sea level. It's a favourite destination for serious trekkers and adventure seekers from across Kerala.
The trek to the summit passes through dense forests, grasslands and shola patches. At the top, on a clear day, you can see the coast of Karnataka, the Arabian Sea, and miles of undulating hills — a view that makes every step of the climb worth it.
Malom മലോം
Malom is a serene hill area near Kannur offering lush green landscapes, spice plantations and peaceful forest trails. Less commercialised than other hill stations, Malom has a raw, natural beauty that appeals to those seeking peace and quiet.
